This site on Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Ireland is divided into two sections:
The PRTCM (Professional Register of Traditional Chinese Medicine) section – a regulatory body, founded in Ireland in the 1980s, for the professional practice of Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, TCM and Medical Qigong.
The ICTCM (Irish College of TCM) section – a College of Acupuncture, TCM, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Medical Qigong offering University level education in these specialist branches of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, in Dublin, Ireland, since 1983, when it was founded by the Director Professor Tom Shanahan.

Our associated school of Acupuncture and TCM in Dublin – the Irish College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ICTCM) - the first TCM College in Ireland, established in 1983.
